This was similar to a deck I split the finals with in my FNM, except that deck was INSANE. One of the few things Ill say is this. 3x Travel Preps, 2x Midnight Haunting and a Instigator Gang. I had 34 playables... yeah....
I didnt think that the mana in this deck was that bad, but I would either fall flat on 1 color so often I found myself questioning the mana base. So this went a 1-2 in the swiss ques... Yeah...
P1P1: I think this pick is fine, only other consideration is Dead Weight.
ReplyDeleteP1P2: Hmmm. I think Hunter is the pick but Shepherd is a close second. The Prep has a higher chance of wheeling when you don't take the Shepherd, too...
P1P4: You want to be in Green so I think you can afford cutting the Viper here. That said, I do like the Hauberk just fine.
P1P6: All three picks are fine - I like the Pilgrim just fine, but the Cathar's fine too.
P1P8: Cathar's fine and you're doing a good job of cutting colour, too.
P2P3: Boar has been dropping in my ratings... I think the Spirit is the best choice here.
P2P6: Yep, Wolf is the pick.
P2P7: Griffin, probably. It wears Travel Prep really well.
P2P9: Bell-Ringer's really good. Fine pick.
P3P2: Priest vs Rebuke is hard... I think I like Rebuke better?
P3P3: Rebuke is probably the pick here but Cathar's good with Travel Prep too...
P3P4: Nothing? You just took that Cathar over Rebuke, yet now it's nothing?
The mana is a little awkward - I probably would've included another Plains.
The mana was a bit awkward Ill give ya that, I thought I needed green more than I did, often found myself switching a forest for a plains.
ReplyDeleteIt might be that I just plain don't like Rebuke, maybe its just that I feel that they can blow me out very well if they just sit back and develop their board, might just be irrationally disliking it. *Shrug* next time I have the choice to pick one up Ill make myself play with it :)
P1P4 - I definitely take the Viper here. Not a fan of the Demonmail, and the viper goes well with the boars you are hoping to pick up. In fact, I even take the Traveler's Amulet over the Demonmail.

P2P3 - Yeah, you're right. Take the spirit.
P2P7 - Probably Griffin.
P2P9 - I'm pretty sure too.
P3P3 - here I take the rebuke.
P3P4 - I don't have your curve in front of me, but I might take the outcasts here.
P3P7 - I take the scavenger here. 4/5 is HUGE.
Deckbuilding - if you're running the caravan vigil then I don't think you can afford to run only 6 forests.
